Spray tan results can vary for a few reasons, and it’s totally normal. Your skin tone, prep routine, and the solution you choose all affect how the colour develops and how long it lasts.

• Skin tone: Everyone’s undertones are different — fair or pink skin tends to pull more golden, while olive or deeper tones can develop warmer or darker.

• Prep: Dry skin, leftover lotion, perfume, or deodorant can block the spray in certain areas, causing lighter patches. Exfoliating 24 hours before and skipping products on the day gives the most even result.

Solution choice: We use professional Norvell blends designed to suit different undertones and desired depths of colour.

• Golden hour- has a violet base that neutralises red or pink tones in the skin, developing into a deep, sun-kissed tan that mimics a European holiday glow, perfect for fair to medium complexions wanting warmth without orange tones.

• Bare bronze- has a brown bronze base that gives a rich, golden finish, ideal for medium to deeper skin tones or anyone chasing that fresh glow.

Your development time also makes a difference: rinse at 6 hours for a softer, natural tan, or leave up to 12 hours for a darker, more defined colour.
